Hi! My name is Jerome Ong
Being brought up in a rather liberal household in Singapore has allowed me to understand the power of effective communication. Since young, I have been involved in numerous public speaking related or adjacent activities; such as debate, Model United Nations, and oratorical competitions; all of which have allowed me to recognise the importance of communication and discourse in today's society. As I grow older, I begin to discover more aspects of the real world, and with it, my understanding of the power of communication has also begun to be refined. While free expression is a powerful tool for change, it can become a double-edged sword if wielded incorrectly. Thus, I created The Unspoken Policy - an organisation encouraging youths to enact social change through effective communication and discourse. Through the numerous projects and initiatives that The Unspoken Policy is involved in, I hope to inspire like-minded youths to take the first step to use their voice to make a positive impact on the world around us.
